Title: unusable text box when using larger fonts
Post by: Richee on October 16, 2014, 12:06:10 am
Here's the problem:
I added a category to Video Movie section. When I open the Category window the "Expression to Dispay
text box height is so small I can't see any text I put in it.

It is only sized correctly when font size is at default setting. When I increase the size of the font the text
box actually gets smaller. Since I have my computer hooked up to my 40" TV the default font is just
too small for me to easily read.

Can we get this box to resize according to the size of the text? I also noticed the Category window is not resizable.
That might help.

Thanks for letting us know.

Next build:
Changed: The Category dialog scales nicely for larger fonts.

You should be using the View > Size command, rather than bumping up the font size. Leave it at the default 9pt Segoe UI.

Sorry to say that doesn't help. Using size command effectively increases font size and the result is the same. I did learn
something though. Didn't even know that menu was there. It will make for a quick change in text size. ;D

Sorry, looks like you are right.
Usually increasing font size alone results in problems like that, which zooming avoids.

You do have to restart MC for the size option to look correct though.
