Title: Yosemite, iTunes 12 and MC20 importing a Playlist.
Post by: Tim-Ann on October 23, 2014, 11:56:47 am
Hi there,

I have looked and found a tool iTunesm3u that purports to change the M3U file to be accepted by MC20 for the Mac but thus far I have had no joy have things changed because of Yosemite and iTunes 12 and MC20 or am I doing something really wrong, I am using the Music folder on my Mac to store all my Apple Lossless files and have a reasonable size Playlist in iTunes but I am really stumped as to how I can import the iTunes playlist.

Perhaps a few things to look at the file m3u is very small if I open with txt edit there is nothing in it, with the m3u8 file it is 8Kb and when I open it, it has #EXTM3U I've no idea what that means, finally there is a lot of info in the xml file

Any help or advise would be gratefully accepted.

Many thanks, Tim.

Hi there,

Finally sorted with a shed load of manual editing using Notepad, now saved in various places in case of another clean upgrade of the OS with Time Capsule being next to useless.

Let's hope I can remember what I di for the next time.

Many thanks, Tim.
