Hello,
I have a strange problem I've never seen anybody has had before?
My MC is mostly set to 5.1 output.
I have no problems with upmixing 2-ch flac or ape to 5.1, it works as it should. Likewise with ac3 or dts soundtracks.
But when I play 5.1 sacd-rips or 5.1-flac, the file plays with all channels active the first few seconds, but then randomly drops channels until theres only main L+R playing..?!?
Sometimes the surrounds go silent first, then the center and sub. Or any combination of those! They drop to zero on the Lynx output mixer..!!
What about that one folks.. :)..??

Try disabling the "detect stereo sources in surround (pseudo-surround)" option in DSP Studio.

No, I'm afraid that didn't help.
Other ideas?

Did you look at the analyzer in the DSP Studio when it happens? Or MCs audio path?
The Audio Path will tell you what it does, and the analyzer will show you which audio it sends out, so we could see if MC is still sending 5.1, and it disappears after, or MC isn't even sending 5.1 anymore.

Analyzer and audio-path shows all channels active at all times.

Ok, was to quick on the keyboard, the problem also exist with last MC19.. :(
However, foobar with the sacd-plugin plays these 5.1 sacd's and flac's perfectly, no dropped channels.
Am I the only one with this problem..?
-
Tried playing with Lynx Asio instead of Dirac Processor as output device, but no difference.
And I repeat, foobar works.. ;)
Can anyone help me..?

Thanks to hendrik and 6233638, but unfortunately that didn't solve the problem.
Matt or someone else, any help with this please..? My logs are in the first post.

This is really a mystery.
If you play locally instead of from Library Server, does it change anything? I ask because I saw that it's using Library Server in the log.

Imported an SACD ISO to local hardrive but unfortunately no, still drops channels...

Can you try a second sound card as a test? The only thing I can think is that the audio device itself starts to drop the channels.
