Title: Connect network folder
Post by: Oddemann on November 05, 2014, 04:00:11 am
Hello

I have installed mediacenter20 on a Debian Linux. It works ok.

However i have a music folder on a NTFS W7 server and when i go to tools->import library i can not find any network computers there. The file explorer within mediacenter is missing network locations.

If i open file explorer i can go to network and then open the music folder, click a file and play it mediacenter.

How can i fix this? do i need to mount the folder ?

Is there any programs which can help in mounting a folder by simply right clicking on it. (because I'm a Linux newbie)

Best way to get the drive into the MC File Explorer is to have the network drive mounted already. I have 2 network drives - one video, one audio - mounted on startup and they both show up in MC.

It's not THAT easy to do if you're a newbie - requires some editing of /etc/fstab file.
