Title: Theater view restarts itself
Post by: Hometownwesty on November 08, 2014, 12:56:09 pm
Hi.

I'm on MC20 now, my htpc is about 90% setup. So I thought it was finally time to have jriver start in theater view, as the htpc is thought to be the main device in our living room.
(I believe) as soon as I made the change theater view started to have a mind of its own. It restarts itself randomly. This is when I switch to standard view, trying to edit settings, as well as when I'm in theater view browsing sub menus, it springs back to start.
I don't know what causes this. Might be jriver itself, might be my remote thinking I hit the green button.
Is there a way to find out what triggered the jump to the theater view start screen? Are signals logged somewhere, so I can investigate if it's my remote or jriver itself?

Thanks,
Simon

Anyone?
This is really bothering me and makes jriver almost unusable (at least uneditable).
Whenever I exit theater view it starts back up in an instant. Sometimes I get a few seconds or maybe even a minute before it re-enters theater view, but this is totally random.
I tried unplugging my remote's receiver, but this didn't do anything.

Is it possible that you have two versions installed, and the wrong one is starting at Windows startup?

Or that something is being recorded by MC's TV?

I don't use TV and Windows says I only have MC20 installed. However I did update quite a few times recently.
May that messed up things?

I just uninstalled (delete registry, keep library) and reinstalled. Did that before, but maybe it helps. You never now.
