Friday I did the Red Hat Certified SysAdmin exam following a 4 day training. Even though I knew everything with my eyes closed the exam was very challenging mainly due to the time restriction. There is a counter on your screen which does an amazing job of stressing you out. I didn't know if I would pass or not, I expected not to.
Last night I got the message: I passed. I'm now officially RHCSA.
Up to RHCE (Certified Engineer). Hopefully in the first half of next year.

Sweet! Congrats. I assume this is for your professional life and not just for the love of Linux :P

Thanks.
For both, to be honest. A while back I posted about putting the fun back into what started out as a hobby in the early 80's but became a drag as a profession. I moved all my pc's at home to Linux, except the HTPC (until MC4L gets Theater View and Netflix works better). Coincidentally, one by one all the applications I support at work for our customers moved to Linux as their base OS and to properly support that, I need to be able to prove that I know what I'm doing :P. Hopefully next year I can do part III and become RHCE. That would be grand.
