Title: Mac vs PC network paths
Post by: xzeezeex on November 13, 2014, 02:47:40 pm
Is there a way to accommodate network paths in a way that is compatible with both Macs and PC?

I have my JRiver library on a network drive and the library is set up to work with Media Center on my PC. When I open the same library on my Mac, none of the paths are resolvable. I realize that I can duplicate the library and do a global find&replace path change on all library items, but it'd be better if I could just use one library.

Attached an example of the way the path shows in the original PC library vs. once I've reimported the files into Mac world...

We should be able to solve this.  Feel free to remind us in a few weeks if it isn't.

I'm going through this exact same exercise now as the OP. I've been practicing renaming the files (which also reside on a NAS as the OP's do.) Should I wait and leave my Windows library as is until the JR solution is implemented?

I would *really, really* like to be able to rip on the PC and sync the library to the Mac, or vice versa.

Hi Jim,
Just a friendly reminder. Any progress?
Thanks!
