Title: Upgrading
Post by: ldoodle on November 16, 2014, 12:18:57 pm
Hey,

Paid to upgrade to MC20 when it was still on the offer but never got round to installing it.

Is it a case of in place upgrading? Or is it better to uninstall MC19 then re-install 20.  I'd like to keep all my settings, as well as obviously the library.

The library automatically transfers. The settings do not.

If you want to transfer settings just make a backup in MC19 and restore it into MC20.  You can have both installed without issue.

Settings will automatically copy from MC19 to MC20.  Just leave MC19 installed before installing MC20.

If I'm upgrading from 18 to 20, does the same apply, I don't see my settings or Library copied over.

Thanks

Make a manual backup in 18 and then restore in 20, making sure to enable the settings restore.
