Title: Using JRiver as DLNA Server - DSP Studio
Post by: jacobacci on November 23, 2014, 03:17:45 am
I have JRiver running on an always-on PC. I would like to use a Revo AXIS to stream music from JRiver's DLNA server. The Revo AXIS understands 44.1 and 48kHz flac. Higher samplerates are not supported. http://revo.co.uk/support/owners-guide-downloads/ (http://revo.co.uk/support/owners-guide-downloads/)
How would I need to configure JRiver so that it
- recognizes the Revo AXIS
- streams to the Revo AXIS, downsampling hirez files using DSP Studio
- 192k and 96kHz should be downsampled to 48kHz, 176.4 and 88.2kHz to 44.1kHz
Thanks and regards

How would I need to configure JRiver so that it
- recognizes the Revo AXIS

Tools | Options | Media Network | Advanced => DLNA Server => Check
Tools | Options | Media Network | Advanced => DLNA Controller => Check

Then your device should appear under Playing Now. (If it does not then your device is no a DLNA Renderer)

How would I need to configure JRiver so that it
- streams to the Revo AXIS, downsampling hirez files using DSP Studio
- 192k and 96kHz should be downsampled to 48kHz, 176.4 and 88.2kHz to 44.1kHz

Tools | Options | Media Network | Add Configure DLNA servers | Audio | Mode = Specified Output Format
Tools | Options | Media Network | Add Configure DLNA servers | Audio | Format = PCM L16 No Header
Tools | Options | Media Network | Add Configure DLNA servers | Audio | Advanced | Sample Rate = 48000 Hz (or 44100Hz)

Note: The above settings should be enough. There is no need to select anything more under DSP Studio.

Hi

I did not find a way to have 44/48/88 and 96 unchanged, and above downsampled.

I try in DSP Studio (from DLNA configuration), with Format PCM 24 bits, and Sample Rate Same as Source. The setup in DSP (accessed from DLNA configuration) is not taken into account.
I can fix the sample rate in DLNA, but it is not what I want to do…

Do I do something wrong?

Kind regards
