Title: JRiver app for Windows 8 tablets?
Post by: Mikkel on November 24, 2014, 07:44:12 am
Hello everyone,

Someone threw a Windows 8 tablet in my face. I thought why not use it as a remote control. Hence, I installed MC and set it to boot into MC Theater View.

Everything works quite nice except: When I press play on a video or audio file I lack a nice screen where I can press skip, play etc. plus adjust volume and so on.
I know I can just use display view but the buttons are rather small.

So, my question: Is there an app for Windows 8 tablets. Alternatively: Would the JRiver team consider adding a new window, which is tailored towards Win8 tablet users. It could possibly work somewhat like the remote control function in Gizmo, where one can navigate the OSD.

Best regards,
Mikkel

Try Theater View.  There is a touchscreen skin for it.

Try Theater View.  There is a touchscreen skin for it.

There are no playback controls easily accessible in Playing Now, though. It's something that I have asked for in the past too.
