Hello, I am new to the forum and to JRiver. I am looking for someone who knows how to see "connected media" on JRemote so I can play webradio from JRemote. Thanks! Richard

As of now, you cannot play radio streams on the device using JRemote (iPad or iPhone), however, you can use JRemote to direct them to zone connected to the desktop. The best way to deal with that is to play streams on the desktop and save them to a playlist. Mine is called, rather imaginatively, "Radio". It would be great for those items in the playlist to play on "this device", but we'll have to wait for the good folks at JRiver to develop this feature.

Thank you very much although this is very sad as now I have to buy the Cambridge Audio Stream Magic 2 to get the functionality I would think most folks would want! Again, thanks so much!!

Another question on the same topic. What about the ability to have remote control of webradio utilizing Id? Thanks

If you save a radio station as a playlist in MC, you'll be able to find it and play it in Gizmo, maybe in JRemote.
-
If I understand correctly the question, yes, you can. As mentioned before you can save the radio station as a playlist and then either controll it from JRemote or stream it to your device.
My way is first I ad the radio I want to connected media. Once it plays I send it to a playlist and them I create a new Library View where I put all the radio station together from the play list. I create the library view because I don't believe is possible to "play" with the way JRiver displays the playlist whereas is possible to do with the library views.

I realize I should correct my post. A few streams will actually play on the iPhone using JRemote. The vast majority of them however, will not. In my case anyway ...

Could you please give me a few pointers on how to "send it to a playlist and them I create a new Library View"? I can't seem to figure out the proper series of keystrokes....thanks!!

Right click on it in Playing Now.

Open a stream, either through the web inside JRiver or using the "File>Open url" menu; in standard view, right-click right above the progress bar at the top and choose "Send to>Playlist"
-
Sorry, I have tried both; right-click right above the progress bar at the top and choose "Send to>Playlist" and right click playing now. Over the progress bar, right click does nothing, or I don't see it in playing now. What am i missing? Is it possible to post a screenshot? Thanks!

You would need to right click on the name of the stream that is playing when you open Playing Now.

Jim, It doesn't show up there when I play it. Would there be a setting change needed?
