Title: Instructions for using WDM for JRiver SPOTIFY / PANDORA Control
Post by: HiRez_Lover on December 02, 2014, 10:55:34 pm
Is there a step-by-step primer on how to set this up?
I noticed some information in another thread, but I seems to me that this is assuming other things are set up first.

Also after loading MC20 -  in my control panel I see JRiverMediaCenter and the Icon it shows are a pair of RCA plugs.
Not sure if your example (with speaker) is just an Icon change or a different device.  Additionally,
I do not see any mentions of a WDM driver, am I supposed too?

Thanks guy - I'm really anxious to try this out.

When you have jrmc running and it is working correctly you only have to set that entry for JRiver in the playback devices to the default one. Then launch spotify and it will playback through jrmc. Jrmc has to be running either as a server in the tray or as the full program.

Are you suggesting that Pandora /Spotify be running as an APP? Not from a browser.

I don't remember off the top of my head but either one or both do not have a Win 8 APP.

Thanks,
Jay

If you're playing through your browser and your default sound device is MC, the browser will direct sound to MC as well.
