Title: Rip Audio CD to DST64
Post by: snarf on December 04, 2014, 09:53:52 am
I am trying to RIP my CDs to DST64. It seems that way they sound a bit better then the old fashion 16-44 WAV.

The strange thing however is that all DST64 sound a real lot more soft (in dB) than for example WAV.

Is there a losless way to normalize it??? Replaygain seems not working. But I am a rookie so my knowledge of JRiver is basic.

Hope somebody can confirm and help me.

Thank you all:-)

You'd be better off ripping to a lossless format and converting to DSD64 on the playback side.  That way you get the same sound quality, but you preserve the original file perfectly.
