Title: JRiver and Pono not ripping
Post by: Albionshrew on December 05, 2014, 04:28:26 pm
I have downloaded the trial version of JRiver for Mac, plus the Pono Music Player as my Pono player arrived today. Neither program will let me rip discs. My iTunes facility will rip CDs, so I know that my CD player is fine. Has anyone else had this problem?

XLD for Mac OSX is a fantastic CD ripping program.  I've used it to rip everything in my current digital collection.  It takes a bit of setup, but it's able to do Accurate Rip database checks, CD Paranoia rips (for accuracy), and organize your music in almost any reasonable way you would like.

Even though CD support works fine in JRiver for me, I continue to use XLD because it's so good and I'm used to it. I don't have to do anything extra for JRiver to see my rips either:  I have JRiver set to Auto Import the directory structure where XLD rips to, so it's all fully automatic!  :)

Here's a link:

Good luck to you.

Brian.

Are you using JRiver Media Center 20 for Mac or Pono Music World 20? If you're using JRiver Media Center 20 for Mac, make sure you're using build 20.0.94 that can be found in the pinned topic on top of this forum section.
