Title: DLNA server not detected
Post by: smOOzz on December 09, 2014, 06:05:54 pm
Since upgrading to vers 20 the connection to the Panasonic DLNA TV has been lost.
Settings seem to be the same as far as I can check.   Library files have not been moved folders and are within MC.
Did connect and then drop out for a day or so and now no connection at all.
TV is connected to network.

Anything obvious I need to be aware of and double check?      many thanks.

Peter

Did you uninstall MC 19 or is it still on your machine. If so check if your device still shows up in MC 19 but it does not show up in MC 20 on the same machine. If so its an MC 20 thing. Otherwise it is probably a LAN, router or firewall thing.

Thanks for that.  I jumped from 18 to 20 and only 20 is installed now.
I will reinstall 20 and recheck everything.   Never had a problem before.

Seems when I uninstaled MC 18 it left a 'server' showing within 'Devices and Printers' which must have confused the network....and myself.
There was intermittent connection and dropouts to the DLNA TV.
Having deleted any ref to MC 18 servers in Devices and Printers all seems to be good again.    MC20 is GO.
