This is my first post and I'm green to forums in general so I hope this is ok. (Last attempt was during the newsgroups era!) When I insert an audio CD in my computer I get the usual prompt to play (which I select), the information on the CD loads, but my CD drive starts spinning very fast as if a ripping action is occurring. I'm able to listen to the CD but the drive makes considerable noise at what sounds like its max speed. I can't find a setting to ramp it down and the only way I can solve the problem is to eject the CD.
When I play a CD in Foobar (this is not a dig, just a point of info that might help), the drive spins normally.
Any thoughts? Thanks!
