Title: Playing music from remote PC
Post by: Twcarter on December 23, 2014, 10:44:56 am
I am running JRiver on a remote pc connected to the main library on the JRiver server. Is it possible to select and play a track or album from the remote pc and have it play on the JRiver server that is connected to my whole house audio?

Thank you

Yes.  You just choose the server as the player under Playing Now.

On the Wiki, you could read about "Media Network" and "Tremote".

I would like to thank you for your reply but I have set everything up just as you described but still when I select a track or album and hit play it plays on the client pc not the server. I can see the library on the server just fine and all else seems to working correctly but I know I am missing something. Any last thoughts on what it might be,

Thank you

On the remote you should see the local zones and server zones.
Select the server zone that you want to play from.

I do see the 2 different zones and if I am not correct please let me know but I should be selecting the server that is listed under Playing From section. This is the only place I see the server name listed. If I click on the server name it just pops up the management windows and all audio goes to the local player. I am sure it is something simple but I have no idea what.

Thank you very much for your help.
