Title: Songs repeat unintended using Gizmo
Post by: jherbert on December 26, 2014, 05:37:53 am
Im am using jriver latest versiuon on a WHS2012 machine to serve several DLNA clients around the house, four of them being Marantz Consolettes. For control I use Gizmo or Web Gizmo, depending on the situation.

Everything works quite well, except that when I play an album, some tracks are repeated without anything done on my side.

The sequence might be Track 1, Track 1, Track2, Track2, Track 3, Track 3....

Maybe they are repeated even more often, but I tend to skip to the next track manualy.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Do you have repeat play and or random play turned on?

Not that I am aware of. Checked this on all locations I could find.

Just tried iOS / JRemote. This works without any problems. Are there any known issues with gizmo?

This is a mystery.

Are the tracks listed twice in Playing Now?

That would be the most logical, and if so, whatever is sending the playlist has duplicates.

No, they appear just once. Should I try to rebuild the database? I am planning to restructure the disc organisation anyway.

Well if the song is only in Playing Now once and another song follows it, there's just no way it would play more than once.

I suppose if Player > Repeat > Repeat Current Item was selected, but I don't think that's the case.
