Title: Best way to configure ASUS Chromebook?
Post by: jshowalter on December 28, 2014, 12:15:39 am
I have an ASUS Chromebook C300.

It has USB 3.0, USB 2.0, and an SD card reader.

I don't always have a network connection.

I want to put my audio files on a USB stick, or on an SD card, plug that into the Chromebook, connect the USB 3.0 to an Oppo HA-1, and control the whole thing with JRiver.

Because there is only one USB 3.0 port, it's not clear I can get the bandwidth needed for DSD if I plug the USB stick into the USB 2.0 port, yet I need the USB 3.0 port for the Oppo.

I'm hoping the bandwidth for the SD reader is high enough (can't find specs on it).

Anyway, assuming the hardware can be connected up in a way that will work, can JRiver drive it?
