As per the title: Is it possible to delete a file without using a mouse or other pointer?
I would like to be able to delete films after watching them within Theatre view using a single key followed by a confirm action.
After sending MC20.exe /MCC 21004 I get a pop up confirmation box, unfortunately the box appears to only accept Tab keys or mouse pointer. Tab keys are really only a half way house as you need to tab the desired confirmation followed by tab-ing to the delete button. This is about as quick as using the GUI delete function since delete is way down the gui menu.

Shift-Delete, then <enter> twice works here.

Many thanks for the tip.
Not quite the full solution I hoped for but so much better than I have come up with :)
Seems that:
Delete, Enter will remove the file from the library
Shift-Delete, Enter will delete the file to the Recycle bin
Unfortunately we do not have a facility to delete without going through the Recycle bin.
It would be nice if Ctrl-Delete performed a full delete bypassing the recycle bin.
I should be able to resolve the issue by turning off the recycle bin on the data drive but the extra command would be a nice touch.
Thanks again.

What if you just auto-delete watched files that match the proper criteria?
With the MCFileRemover utility I wrote, you can make a smart list that shows all files played once or more, which are TV Shows but not those with some other attribute like a Keyword (for those you want to save). Or whatever you want, of course.
Then schedule MCFileRemover to run periodically and give it that Smartlist, and it'll auto-delete the files for you. No need to do ANYTHING but watch stuff.

Thanks Glynor, Unfortunately I need real-time and personalised deletion. Nice utility though.

Keyboard Shortcuts do not appear to work in Theatre View.
Any chance we could have some added as core commands or keyboard shortcuts?
