Title: DLNA/DSD on a Marantz NA8005 network streamer NOT WORKING

I just can't seem to get DSD playing (64 or 128) - I just get hiss. All PCM plays fine. I have tried it with/without Bitstream DSD(DOPe) - with Bitstream checked I get hiss and the music time progresses - without Bitstream checked it doesn't play and time doesn't progress. I've been messing with this for hours trying all different combos. Any ideas? It works fine using Mimimserver. I'm using the latest version of MC. DSD will play using the Marantz web interface that bypasses JRiver.

Update: if I set "Specify output only when necessary" and don't have Bitstream checked it plays but the Marantz shows wav/176.

well, lo and behold, I completely uninstalled/reinstalled and now it all works as expected. ;)

PS use my DMR Analyser to test the capabilities of your renderer (see my sig below); and please email me the report to add to the database.

I tried the program but it doesn't detect the NA8005.

Then at least you know that your problem is more fundamental...

Andrew, you didn't see my previous reply - everything is working as it should but your program still doesn't see the Marantz.

The more fundamental issue would be with your network setup or your PC firewall.
Andrew's DMR analyzer should detect all DMR's
The uninstall and reinstall of MC on your PC fixing the problem suggests a firewall issue.
