Title: MCWS add new field
Post by: miketl on January 14, 2015, 09:14:24 am
Hello,

Would it be feasible that you will add Bit Depth to /MCWS/v1/Playback/Info . I need this field while remote controlling my devices.

Thank you

Thank you again for adding the Bitdepth for the currently played file, but there is a slight problem: if it's a DSD file the BitDepth field which is being returned is 64 instead of 1. I thought that 64 is for single rate DSD but if I play double rate DSD it still return 64. If I use MCWS to retrieve the list of MPL files the BitDepth field that is being returned for each file is 1 the way it should be.
Could you please fix this slight issue.

Thank you

DSD is decoded to 64-bit PCM.

But if you open Media Center and look at the BitDepth field in Mini View it is listed as 1 bit and also if you retrieve the MPL using MCWS you have the field BitDepth and it is also 1 Bit for each file. The new BitDepth field for DSD files that is returned by the MCWS current played file is inconsistent with the former.

MCWS returns the bitdepth that it's playing at, which is 64-bit.
