Title: DSF file is resampled from 352.8 to 176.4kHZ
Post by: s54yellow on January 19, 2015, 05:12:37 am
Hi,

I am using MC 20.0.14 version on my Yosemite OS, I found that the software resample my DSF file into 176.4kHz to play. I tried to fix it on output format page but vain.

This won't happen when I use another music software to play music. I am using Korg DS-DAC 100.

Appreciate your support in advance.

Resampling is fully configurable in DSP Studio > Output Format > Sample Rate.

Thanks for your reply.

I changed it to 'set all to no change' already and save the setting. But it still resample DSF file to 176.4KHZ. Andy idea?

This' what the software show:

Audio Path:
Input: 352.8kHZ 64 bit 2ch from source format DSF
Changes: No changes are being made
Output: 352kHZ 32 bit 2ch using Core Audio (not using enough bits to output the input directly)

Any idea?

There doesn't appear to be any resampling going on from that info?

Yes, you are right.

But how can I solve 'not using enough bits to output the input directly'

You cannot. 32-bit is the highest you can output. However, there is no reason to worry about that. Your hardware is limited to 32-bit anyway, in fact I'm not aware of any hardware that can handle more than 32-bit at all.
