I am using Lyrics Editor 2.14 from Doof the Mighty with Media Center 20.0.50 on Windows 8.1.
When I attempt to edit and save changes to the "Options" within the plug-in, I receive a JIT error. See below.
From what I can tell the main issue is that the plug-in is referencing a file that does not exist (MJFileAutomation).
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at MC_Lyrics_Editor.MainInterface.PopulateFields(MJFileAutomation file)
I would like to know if anyone knows how to fix this issue I would greatly appreciate it. As it stands I cannot keep the values I want to save for this plug-in.
Thank you for your time.
FMX.
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

You probably already know this but the plug-in still works. You can change the options and just ignore the error messages. The downside is you have to reset the options everytime you use the plug-in.
-
Yes, sir.
I was wondering if anyone had identified a resolution to the error that would remove the error and remove the inconvenience of resetting the values each time Lyrics Editor is used.
I am not aware of any other lyric editors for Media Center. Therefore, I am trying to make the best out of this plug-in.
Thank you for the response.

I've used this plugin for many years. I started having the save problem when I upgraded to Windows 7. I did some research at the time and if memory serves me Lyrics Editor is using a system folder that Windows 7 does not want you to write to. I was not technical enough to progress it further, so I just reset the options each time I use it.
If you figure it out I'd love to hear the solution.
