Post by: kens on January 24, 2015, 11:25:38 am
all of a sudden I get when trying to play any song I get

playback could not be started on the output core audio using the format 44.1kz 2 ch.

I have reloaded my library and still get the same message on any song these are all 44.1 ripped using lossless

Try power cycling your computer and whatever device you're playing to.

I really need to figure out what I am doing wrong,

The message I am getting is:
something went wrong with playback
Details:
playback could not be started on the output Core audio using the format 44.1khz 2 ch

This output format may not be supported by your hardware, you can use DSP studio to change the output to a compatable format.

also make sure that your system had a valid sound playback device and that it is properly configured in playback options.

I am using a mac mini with the core audio power supply, and a Resolution Audio Cantata

These files are CD's ripped to a hard drive using lossless the artwork shows up as well as the titles everything looks OK but when I go to play I get the message.

I didn't make any changes before the problem occoured

Everything work fine using I tunes.

Thanks in advance.

I solved it by changing under:
-Tools
-option
-audio device: set "built-in output [Core Audio]
