Title: MC 20 Media Network gets disconnected
Post by: geoptin on January 24, 2015, 01:29:43 pm
I play my video files via MC 20 on my LG Smart tv. Everything is ok, but sometimes I get the message "device disconnected" on my tv screen. After a couple of seconds, mc dlna appears again on the tv screen and I have to start over to play the video file... It seems that the MC media network resets itself...
Any help?

in the last month or so I have also seen these kind of issues happening with my Samsung Smart TV

In the past I never had a problem.
When I am streaming a movie, I often see "Loading ...." and sometime the TV looses connection to MV20

I restart and I am able to go ahead

Does your computer use DHCP to get its IP address? It could be that it is renewing its IP lease which causes MC to go offline and then online again. Try using a static IP address instead.

Thanks for the reply. Could you tell me how to do this?

Two possible ways:

Another possibility is that it could be related to the TV's firmware. I found this thread from a few years ago in which at least some "device disconnected" seemed to be firmware related. Maybe try checking LG's website for an update.
