Title: DVD playback (no sound)

I tried to play a DVd and do get picture, but no sound?


The DVD will play with sound in PowerDVD?

In settings/options/device settings, is "use digital playback" checked for the drive?  If not, is there a cable connecting the drive to your sound card?

I do not see any option "device settings"... ?

I don't know about the cable, but Power DVD works just fine.

First, upgrade to MJ 8... DVD playback has improved quite a bit since 7.2  (8.x is available here on Interact)

Then, right click on the DVD display while playing and explore the options.  (especially the output device and decoder properties)

Let us know if you can't get it going.

I did try 8, but also got the error everyone else is getting and couldn't play anything.. .. I think I'll wait until that is solved first
