I have MC18 and have installed mc20 0.63 on another drive but now neither 18 or 20 will play and both hang. This is on windows 7 64bit. MC 18 uses wasapi and when 18 starts I get a media server icon showing. Whne MC20 starts I don't see a media server icon bottom right. My audio card is a Komplete Audio 6 and mc 20 sees all the asio outputs of that card but if I select then still no output. Import seems to have worked from 18 to 20. Can anyone advise what to do next

Please take a look at the Audio Setup topic on our wiki.
Please explain exactly what you mean by "on another drive".
Check the Windows mixer settings by double clicking on the speaker icon in the lower right corner of the Windows desktop. Something may be muted.

I would start by going to Windows Sound properties (properties>test) and see if sound works from there - that answer info might also help developers solve your problem

I have now got it working. The install of MC20 seemed to crash the audio card but once I reset the card as the Asio control panel said no streaming was possible I can now play music via the ASIO driver which is much better than via a windows driver. How do I import my views from MC18 to 20 do I have to copy the definitions by hand.

use a MC18 backup to restore those settings in MC20

Thank you and it worked quickly and flawlessly.
