I purchased yesterday the MC20 license, and I installed JRiver in my computer. I have connected one m-audio solo soundcard and the audio-gd TE7022 usb to spdfi converter.
When I tried JRiver trial period in the past, it offered me an additional output for my m-audio soundcard whch was: ASIO JRiver MEDIA 20.
Now, after the installation I ve got the ASIO M-AUDIO, wich any way I get from foobar ...but not ASIO JRiver MEDIA 20. What happened to ASIO JRiver MEDIA 20 output? I recognised during the trial period thaT the use of ASIO JRiver 20 output gave me great sound....thats why I purchased it, and now with the purchased program I am not getting the ASIO RIVER 20 outpuT ANYMORE ...
Can you explain that to me?
-
Do you have the ASIO driver turned on in Tools > Options > General Features? Hmm, I've got it turned on but can't see the driver ether. Maybe there is a bug.
-
Media Center shouldn't list itself as an ASIO driver. The driver is to use from another program. It'd be an infinite loop to use ourselves!
-
Thanks.
But what is the use of this Asio driver, then?
-
Routing of audio from other applications through JRiver. Look up WDM driver on this forum.
-
I am asking for ASIO JRiver 20 as an output option!!!!
-
That makes no sense. If you're using JRiver Media Center 20 for playback, how does it make sense to play from Media Center to Media Center.
-
Why do you identicate output with player? I also have available antother output : ASIO M-AUDIO, do you call that a player?
-
I use to have the ASIO JRiver 20 as an output option in jriver!!!!

I use to have the ASIO JRiver 20 as an output option in jriver!!!!
It was available as a mistake in earlier versions, but removed because, as Hendrik states, it is not intended as an output from JRiver, only as an intermediate level from other applications to JRiver.
And, after struggling earlier with the same thing myself, I can confirm that it did not and will not work.
You should simply use your device's asio driver.

Thanks for your support guys ....
Still have some other questions:
How can I play SACD_ISO via ASIO, or WASAPI outputs and also DSD instead of PCM ?
