I am having trouble getting cover art from the internet (though it worked fine in 7.2). I get the track info from CDDB, then proceed to obtain the cover art from the internet. I press the [GET] button, choose "From The Internet," choose a match tolerance of "Standard," with the "Don't Go Online..." box UNchecked, then press the [OK] button. The "Downloading Images" form comes up for just moment, then disappears, without the status bar even indicating that it tried. The result is that no picture is downloaded and the image viewer is still blank. I can, however, cut and paste images correctly, but that is way tedious compared to pushing one button and having MJ do all the work for me.

TIA,
Bill

Do you have the artist and album tag fields filled in before attempting to get the cover art?
If you could, list some of the artist / album's that worked in 7.2 that don't anymore so we can test.
Thanks.

Try Steely Dan - Pretzel Logic. It worked for me in ver7 but not 180. Can't get anything in 180.

A thought just crossed my mind - d'ya think 'Pretzel Logic' might be George W.'s favourite album ?

I've mentioned this on another thread, but I'm getting the same problem. If I put in Kosheen - Resist, it looks on the internet very briefly and returns nothing. However, if I manually add an image, then do Get, it returns Morcheeba - Big Calm. Very strange.

I'm having this problem too :-/

Me too

I have that problem, too! Waitaminit! I originated this thread.
Okay, now that you've suffered through that agonizing attempt at humor, yes, I have the aforementioned fields populated (with whatever came out of CDDB). I tried this even with older ones that already had album art attached to them. I used the [Remove] button to remove the picture, used the "clean database" to clean out the now unused picture, then tried to get it from the internet. No go.

Same here. This was working a couple of builds ago.

Me too. I'm running over a pretty slow connection at home. The error occurs so quickly I can't imagine that MJ is even connecting to a remote location to look for the cover art. This is a feature I miss.
The covers I do have downloaded don't show up in visualizations anymore either.

I can't get my cover aren't anymore either. I get the exact same symptoms.
As for the visualisations not displaying the cover art, I know what that is.
If you go into the visualisation studio, go to the image properties and change the ImageFile setting from [cover art] to COVER_ART it comes back. Don't know why, it just does.

Will be fixed in the next build.

What turned out to be the cause of this?
