Title: DSD upsampling results in playback being choppy

I decided to go into the DSD section of Media Center 19. I changed the setting for none to double DSD. Playback was choppy or motorboating. Playback is USB out to a Wyred4sound DAC2 SE which will accept DSD via USB. What am I doing wrong?

DSD encoding requires quite a lot of CPU power. Maybe check that?

I dropped back to DSD level and it is a bit smoother. CPU usage is fairly constant in the mid 20% range. Any other suggestions? Computer is a Windows 8.1 laptop with A4 processor and 8 gig of RAM
