Title: MC20 not recognizing 96k FLAC file [Solved]
Post by: Jeff Schulman on January 29, 2015, 10:30:16 am
Hi, I just upgraded from MC 16 to MC 20.  MC 16 recognized 96k HDTracks FLAC downloads and my Ayre QB-9 showed 96 on its panel during playback.  With MC 20, the Ayre panel shows 44 for the same files.  Is there an MC 20 option that I need to select to playback 96k files?  Thanks, Jeff

Double-check the resampling settings in DSP Studio > Output Format.

Hi Matt, thanks.  I went to DSP - output format, and in the sample rate area for 96k input I changed the "no change" to now say 96k. Is that what you meant in your instruction?  I saved that, quit out of the media player, restarted, and am getting the same result.  A 96k file is showing up as 44 on the Ayre dtoa.

Thanks, Jeff

I think I found a solution.  In the audio - audio device options panel - the setting was Default Audio Device (direct sound).  I changed this to Ayre USB interface audio (WASAPI).  Now, a 96k file shows as 96k on the Ayre QB-9 DAC.  Make sense?

Thanks, Jeff

It does.
