I can't play any video with MC 20.0.64 on my MacMini Server Late 2009, OSX 10.7.5.
After starting the playback there only is the messagebox "Playback Problem, Something went wrong with playback". A very informative message, if you ask me.
Clicking the help button of the message box leads me to the even less informative JRiver "Playback Problems" web page, instead of saying, what my problem is.
Is my MacMini or OS too old to play back video - or what's wrong?
Thanks
Fred

You could post a log file, that would show a more precise error. I don't think we've ever tested video on 10.7, I know for a fact that its not going to work on 10.6, but not sure about 10.7

Hm, it appears it fails to create the OpenGL context without really telling us why.
We require OpenGL 3.2 support, which was introduced in 10.7, assuming capable hardware.
Here is a Mac app that shows you the OpenGL capabilities, can you run that and let us know what it says?

I'm mostly interested in OpenGL version, and possibly the pixel formats. We require a OpenGL 3.2 capable pixel format, accelerated and double buffered.
If available, newer graphics drivers could help.

Can't load this App from the Appstore to my machine.

And now?

All I can tell you is that we require 10.7 and a GPU with OpenGL 3.2 support. If the 2009 Mac Mini Server qualifies for that, I'm not sure, and the only way to be sure would be to run a OpenGL analzer app like the one I linked, but I'm sure there are others.
From the logs, it seems like it doesn't support it.
Unfortunately, I do not have access to all Apple hardware ever made to check it out myself.

Thanks for the info!
I will update to OS 10.10 and see if that works.
