I have quicktime installed and I just get the below message. I am on wasapi. Any idea?

Quicktime is not used to play back MP4 videos, so is not relevant here.
That error message indicates that your audio device is misconfigured. Please read:
http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Audio_Setup
If other audio and video files play, this is most likely a problem with the DSP Output Format configuration.

Thanks. I have it set up exactly as that page.
The only thing I do is to have windows at 16 bit, 44,1000 rather than 16 bit 48,000?

I was following this guide which says you need Quicktime for mp4?

If you have it set up properly as described in that guide, then it is irrelevant what the settings in Windows are.
If you've disabled Exclusive access, though, then this could be the problem:

Thanks so much - thats sorted it! :)
I didnt think to read about exclusive access. And it seems it no longer interfers with vimeo, youtube etc like it used to which is why I had it disabled.
