Title: "series" cover art...but for genre?
Post by: ferday on February 01, 2015, 12:21:24 pm
i've finally got around to finishing all my boxset organizing for audio, and working on video...posting the "series cover art" in the series folder in appdata

so my question is...is this supposed to work for Genre as well since there is a Genre folder there?  i've tried pasting cover art with the genre name but it doesn't show up in any Genre view

is there something i'm missing (it's worked perfect for Series) or is it not supposed to work?
and since i'm asking, would this also (not) work for Artist, so in Artist view it would show a global artist image?

thanks.  no big deal if it doesn't work i'm just getting OCD about the boxsets so thought it would be cool

edit:  half answered my own question with a forum search.  it appears it will not work...any reason the Genre folder resides in appdata then (i have no Artists folder naturally in mine...should it be)?  is this a plan for a feature later on?  i don't want to tag all my [series] with =[genre] as i use series for boxset (or even multi-disc CD's) in audio

It works for series and albums. That's it I think. There's not any good solutions for other cover art today.
I really hope that JRiver one day will add the same or a similar system as for series, to other categories as well. Artist, Movie Boxsets and Genre would be nice.

It's a feature that's been requested as far back as 2010.  See http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=94907.0 (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=94907.0).

Plesae support the request at http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=90662.msg653623#msg653623 (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=90662.msg653623#msg653623).
