Title: License problems [solved]
Post by: rocket5375 on February 01, 2015, 04:35:56 pm
Hi. I recently purchased a Master license (24/1/15). I've installed MC20 on Linux Mint Cinnamon 17.1. The programme works fine, but after entering the Registration Code (which it seemed to accept) it was still telling me that it was unregistered. I have downloaded the mjr file. Double-clicking on it does nothing. Having read the posts of others who have experienced similar difficulties, I tried <mediacenter20 /RestoreFromFile "Media Center20 Master-283246.mjr"> and also <sudo mediacenter20 /RestoreFromFile "Media Center20 Master-283246.mjr"> in the terminal, after having cd'd to the appropriate directory (Downloads). On both occasions it told me that it "Could not restore license from file Media Center20 Master-283246.mjr". The programme is still showing up as unregistered. I don't know where to to go from here-can anyone help?

Are you using the latest 20.0.64 build of Media Center 20?

I was using 20.0.33 build, I think. I upgraded to 20.0.64 ( following your tutorial) and tried to enter the reg. code again. This time it went through without any problem- Media Center now reports that it is registered.
Many thanks for your speedy reply.
Best wishes
