Title: copy tracks without the tags-metadata
Post by: Llannis on February 02, 2015, 04:52:53 am
Hello,

I think that this can be done easily but I can't find it in JRiver nor in the Forum...

I need to copy songs in a folder outside of my library without their tags-metadata.

Is it possible?

Thank you :)

Rename, Move, and Copy can create copies of the files wherever you'd like.  Unfortunately, there is no simple built-in way to strip the tags that I know of.  You could copy them elsewhere and then use Mp3Tag (http://www.mp3tag.de/en/) to strip them, though.

The Handheld sync tool can "reduce metadata".  I think that strips out all but the basics, but doesn't strip everything.
