It turns out the Loki is not getting sound in windows 8.1. The Loki and JRiver shows up in my device manager and shows both have no issues. I selected JRiver as my default playback device in windows and selected my Musical Fidelity V90 dac (Works). I then tried the same with the Loki. When I went into Windows 8.1 sound to run a test, I get no sound.
Need settings for JRiver MC20 and Schiit Loki. I just tried to setup Loki and JRiver together according to the directions on Schiit's website: http://schiit.com/guides/dsd-setup for Windows 8.1. The issue is the directions on Schiit's website appears to be outdated. I need help in getting MC20 working with Loki.
I currently have a Musical Fidelity V90 dac on one of my usb ports and that works fine. I installed my Loki on another usb port in line with my other dac. When I play a dsd file, my Loki's second light lights up but I get no sound. Under playback devices in Windows 8.1 I made the Loki the default player.
Any help with confirming the settings within JRiver and Windows is appreciated.

It works like a charm. I just wish the info on Schiit's website was accurate and up to date. Thank you.

If you contact Schiit by email, they are very responsive.

Had to set up my Shiit Loki DAC again on a new device and didnīt remember how to do so.
On Shiit, no info available anymore, so I googled it & found my own 2.5y old post with a description on how to do this here.
It always pays off to help others. One day you maybe get rewarded for that :)
