I would like to have an option to save/export video thumbnails generated by MC.
So for example, if I have a video file in "X:\Files\Video.mkv" there would be an option to save the thumbnail as a "X:\Files\Video.jpg".
Note: Edited thread from being a question to a request.

i have asked this question also in the past.
+1 on this request.

This happens automatically when I click 'run auto-import now' to add some new mkv's.
Probably a setting in Options - General, I think.

I think that is only true if it is able to find coverart on TVDB or TMDB, not if it has to generate the thumbnail.
If I am wrong, I do not see an option to save the thumbnail locally.

Yea, it only works for movie/TV series coverart. But if you have a bunch of generic video files like I do (music videos etc..), there appears to be no way to make MC save thumbnails that it has generated.

Under options, tree and view, you can select 'create thumbnails for video' and how
much inside the video it has to create the thumbnail. Is that something usefull?

No, because the problem is that those thumbnails are saved within the database. What I want to achieve is to have the automatically generated thumbnails saved as an easily accessible .jpg file, kinda like the "use screen grab for thumbnail" feature during playback.
