Title: using core commands with multiple v20 program instances running
Post by: hardauto on February 08, 2015, 08:24:32 pm
Wanting to know when running more than 1 instance of jrm20 running at same time, how to distinguish between which instance when calling core commands in a batch file (as an example).  To put another way for clarification.... if i want to send "mc20.exe /command pause" to one but not both instances of the program running, how do i accomplish this?

thanks.

Running multiple instances is "at your own risk" (meaning, unsupported).

So, I don't know how it works, but I'd guess you get what you get.  You may want to explain what exactly you're trying to accomplish, however, as there may be other ways to do what you want without running multiple instances.

Between Zones and detached displays, there is little MC can't do "simultaneously" without needing to run multiple instances.  There are some limits, of course, but this could be a case of not knowing your options.
