Title: Resizable panes and tooltips

Hi,

As far as I see, the panes are not resizable. This makes that columns with shorter content (letter grouping artists for instance) take too much room and others with longer content may not show the whole content.

I recall having read a discussion on that and understand that maybe making the panes resizable is major issue for the developpers but, could it be possible to have a tooltip displaying the whole length of an item when hovering the mouse over a long content that does not entirely display in his column?

You've got my vote for both of those options.

Resizable panes would be "woot"
