I open (and maximize) MC with a HotKey to MC20...
"C:\Program Files (x86)\J River\Media Center 20\Media Center 20.exe".
I want to minimize MC with the same HotKey (so it can cycle between Minimize & Maximize).
Is this possible?
Thanks;

Well in my case, the button is bound to mc20.exe /start (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=85765.msg588150#msg588150)
But it would be nice if this minimized MC when it has focus, so that the button can be used as a toggle.

Next build:
Changed: The launcher (MC20.exe) takes a /MinMax command to toggle the minimized / maximized state of the program.

Will that still launch MC if it's not running?

No, I don't think so. It only looks for a running MC.
I could make it start MC, but it's not really clear to me that it's an improvement.

I have always used the HotKey to both load MC (if it is not running) AND to maximize MC (if it is already running) so it would definitely be an improvement.
Thanks Matt for your interest in this.

Well wouldn't you want something different, more of a /StartMax command that starts if it's not running and then maximizes it?
Next build:
NEW: Added a /StartMax command to the launcher to start the program maximized (and show and maximize if it's already running).

What I'm looking for is a button that, when mapped will:
- Launch Media Center if it is not already running.
- Bring Media Center to the front if it is running.
- Minimize Media Center if it currently has focus.
That way you just need one "Media Center" button mapped to the keyboard to show MC, issue a command, and then hide it again and return to what you were doing.
I think that is what DocLotus is looking for as well.

PERFECT... EXACTLY what I'm looking for.

4. NEW: The launcher (MC20.exe) takes a /MinMax command to toggle the minimized / maximized state of the program.
This just seems to minimize or maximize Media Center, irresepective of whether it has focus.
It won't launch Media Center either, if it is not already running.
