I found the youtube segment featuring John Oliver extremely amusing and a little disturbing at the same time.
In other parts of the world, closer to home for me, the political issue is focussed on meta-data:

Years ago, enforcement agencies were limited to wire taps and fossicking through your rubbish. Those were the days when it all took a little more effort.
Oh well, I'll just enjoy what MC has to offer in the meantime.. ;)
