Title: Feature Request: Dual Monitor Support
Post by: daveman on February 17, 2015, 07:06:15 am
I would love to see true dual monitor support.

I often play with tags and would love to be able to have the edit Tag Action Window open on my second monitor.  It would be great if all of the actions could be moved and "unpinned" and moved around.

In addition, when watching a video, it should open to the second monitor.

MC supports dual monitors well.

You can open a video on the second monitor.  Check the options under General > Behavior.

I must be blind but I do not see any dual monitor option.

All of JRiver's development team runs dual monitors.  Of course, MC runs nicely on them.

If you're having a particular issue, please post more details.

You cannot pop out any Action Window items, including the Tag Action Window.

You can certainly display video (and Visualizers and Theater View) on other monitors.  In fact, with Detached Displays and Zones, you can run on a whole swarm of monitors.  I've run setups with 8 independent displays before with MC.

There are some option under "Tree & View" (you can set which monitor should be used for Fullscreen), and some under "Behavior" (you can set if and when MC automatically switches to fullscreen) :)
