Gosh, it works perfectly here.  Strange.

Is it only a certain type of file?  Could you mail a sample of one of the files to matt at jriver dot com?

Would you be willing to mail me a sample?  Matt at jriver dot com.

Thank you.

Can it be a download link such as Google Drive onedrive or Dropbox because the file is in dsf format and cannot be converted and is 13 or so gigabytes

Dropbox would be great.

Just email me a link once it's there.

I don't actually have enough space on my dropbox would microsoft onedrive work as I have a 100 gig limit on that or google drive as I have about as much space as the file with that service.

I have no idea.  If OneDrive holds it, then sure :)

The status window doesn't update properly on the Mac version. Resize the window to force it to update.

What window are you talking about specifically?  Thanks.

The one that pops up when i click on [Tools]–>[Advanced Tools]–>[Analyze Audio …]

When audio is being analysed that window shows the progress of the operation, but I've found that it stops updating its contents after a while, even though the operation is still in progress. I think that may be what JLorenzo is experiencing, i.e. his audio is in fact being analysed, but the window has stopped updating its contents. When that happens it's possible to force the window to refresh by resizing it.
