Title: Music Playback Stops Randomly
Post by: epvaldo on February 20, 2015, 12:21:35 pm
From time to time the music I'm playing will just stop and come back with an error message which says there has been an error in playback.  I'm not sure what may be causing this issue in MC20.

Well I have a couple of questions:

1. Are you normally able to play the files that it stops at? E.g. Are they 24/192 files while your DAC only supports 24/96.
2. What are you using for output? ASIO, WASAPI, DirectSound, Kernel Streaming? I have found ASIO to be quite unreliable in MC20 and have had to switch all my devices over to WASAPI.

Thanks for responding.

I wasn't able to re create the error with the same songs.  I was playing an SACD song when it stopped.  After the error, I played the same song again with no error.  The error will reappear with some other song later on, maybe the same day or a day or two latter.

I'm using WASAPI with a Schiit Loki DAC.
