Title: Would like some information to decide whether to upgrade or not!
Post by: soongsc on March 01, 2015, 08:58:40 am
Currently I am in V18, if I can get the following capability, then I would consider getting a master license for both OS.

1. Some of my audio albums are not in English.  After ripping them in dbpoweramp, the characters do not show up correctly in JRiver MC.  Is it possible to fix this?

2. I would like to rip existing DVDs and have the formal playable on both OS from a NAS, and also have the covered shown in MC, is there a reliable way of accomplishing this?

3. Would like to playback the audio and video through Airplay controlled from the iPhone or iPad apps, is this possible?

I guess this means. No for all of these.

Hi Soong,

1. I don't know which language do some of your albums use, so I don't exactly know what the situation is, but it may be a Windows vs. OS X character encoding issue. Actually chances are is you correct the ones in Mac, it will probably show correctly in Window's side as well. Currently, JRiver MC still has some issues with Korean language.

2. If you set the library to NAS, it will show up on both OS.

3. Try JRemote. It works like the Remote app from Apple, but for JRiver MC.

Best regards,
Y. G.

Honestly, I'd try the Media Center 20 trial first. For the language/character issue, you'd probably have to upload a sample and send it to one of the developers here.

Hi Awesome Donkey,

Can I send a Korean one? Where should I upload it to?

Best regard,
