Title: What do the options in "Media key mode" do?
Post by: andrewberg on March 06, 2015, 03:45:09 pm
(Sorry, no Wiki article found on this...)

In particular, what are the options "App commands" and "Hotkeys"?
For the second, I was hoping to set custom hotkeys to control MC's basic functions while its main window is minimized... (have no Media keyboard, so using AltGr+[xy] etc)...

Your best bet would be to try them to see if any setting works as you wish.

How does that answer my question?
Again, I don't have a media keyboard so was hoping the option "Hotkeys" would provide some 'system wide' shortcut configuration instead, such as AltGr+...  But I guess that's not the case.
In other words, all options under "Media key mode" require a media keyboard with dedicated buttons like "Play, Pause, Stop, Next, Previous, Volume" etc. -- would that be correct?
Thanks in advance...

That's what the Media Keys setting is for, yes.
