I cannot view multiple albums for an artist that is in the database!!!!
If I select artist and try to view all their albums I only get some albums.
If I select album I can view the album that is not showing for the artist
all artists for the albums are the same.
i.e.
Albums
Album 1
Album 2
Arrival - This is the album not showing in artist view
Artist
Abba
All Albums (2)
Abba
Collected
The Arrival album is not shown - Why
-
I'd be more worried that I had ABBA in my music collection !.... :)

You need to look at the tags on the albums that aren't showing up under an artist.
What's in the "Album Artist" tag. What's in the "Artist" tag.
-
the album tags show the correct album and artist for each track in the album !!!!
-
Go to the "Arrival" album. Select the whole album, the press "Tag" (or hit Alt-Enter). You should see the tags in the left pane.
I'll bet dollars to donuts that something is amiss with the Artist or Album Artist tag. Something as simple as having a SPACE after the artist name can make it appear to be a different artist. If you hover over the Artist or Album Artist field, it will underline the name, so you can see if it has leading or trailing spaces.
One other idea with ABBA specifically is that they sometimes their name is printed with the first B backwards. If one of your albums has the Artist field set to ABBA with a backwards B character that would definitely do it. Not likely, but....
Good luck and feel free to take some screen shots and post them here so we can figure out this mystery for you!
Brian.

Yes, agreed, the problem is almost certainly an errant [Album Artist] tag. Please note:
the album tags show the correct album and artist for each track in the album !!!!
[Album] is not the same as [Album Artist].
Files in MC have three separate fields used to decide (using the default Media Views) which Artist to group them with:
* [Album Artist (Auto)]
* [Album Artist]
* [Artist]
This is in addition to [Album].

Thank you it was the Album Artist tag. I was not viewing this at all. As soon as I viewed ALL tag details I could see that it was different
