Yesterday I noticed that for celebrating the new version of Daemon tools, that there is an action : about 3,5 EURO for a licence
of DAEMON Tools Lite Lifetime Personal valid to put on three PC's.
This is a bargain for a lifetime licences.

I guess a lot of users of htpc's are using daemon tools lite free 4 (the old one) for mounting ISO's or other images.
An advantage of the new version is, that you don't have to create the virtual drive in advance anymore (SCSI, DT and now also HDD in the Lite version),
the virtual drive are created the moment you rightclick on an ISO or folder etc. Its called Quickmount.

So if you want cheap licenses, now is the moment.

Daemon tools lite is free.

The problem is that they load the installer with a pile of software "offers" that is a real pain to click through, and can in some cases, trigger security software warnings.
They offer the option to buy a license for a nominal fee that allows access to clean installer.

I stopped using Daemon tools ages ago. For simple mounting tasks I just use Virtual CloneDrive, which is also entirely free, and doesnt have any annoying adware (that I remember, anyway)
